Cathedral Entities

Young adults who want to be more involved at the Cathedral should consider the variety of Adult classes offered, both on Sunday mornings and during the week. Fellowship groups such as Foyers are also a good way to meet a wide range of members.

The Cathedral 20s30s group welcomes twenty- and thirty-somethings who are single, couples, married, and with or without children.

Spiritual Discussion: "Why do we do what we do?"
Join the 20s30s each Sunday evening when we'll discuss "why we do what we do?"  Learn about the myth vs. reality about the rituals and symbols of the Episcopal Church, led by Canon John Mark Wiggers. Snacks and drinks are available.

We meet each Sunday in the sitting area to the left of the stairs in the Atrium beginning at 7:45 p.m., or when the 7:00 p.m. service in St. Mary's Chapel ends.

August 31: Canceled. Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend!

20s30s Outing: Picnic and Games in Piedmont Park
Our spring afternoon was so much fun, we’re doing it again this fall while the weather is still nice! Don’t miss the picnic lunch, frisbee throw, and a wiffle ball rematch in Piedmont Park, Sunday, September 7. We’ll meet in the Cathedral parking lot at 1:00 p.m. to carpool.

20s30s Popping Corn for Kids Ministry
An Opportunity to help our Cathedral Family

Interested in popping popcorn and helping out in the children's ministry TV room during Sunday School?  Volunteer with a friend, or meet someone new, and help out on a Sunday, maybe once a month, if even that often.  Really, what could be an easier, more fun way to help out on Sunday mornings, where the Cathedral needs our help?

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact 20s30s member David Martinson.  For more info about Children's Sunday School, you may also Mary Hunter Strange, Director of Children's Ministries at the Cathedral.

Calling on Counters
The Cathedral Counting Team is in need of a few more members. This ministry entails meeting with a team during the 8:45 and 11:15 a.m. eucharists to count the cash and separate checks, then returning everything to a safe in the sacristy. Each team is assigned eight or nine Sundays per year. Anyone interested can contact Charles Jacobs, 404-365-1070.

Contact Information
To find out more about these events, and to be added to the 20s30s weekly "Foresight" e-mail newsletter, please e-mail Dana King. Contact Canon John Mark Wiggers, 404-365-1105, if you have additional questions about 20s30s at St. Philip's.
