Cathedral Entities

Young adults who want to be more involved at the Cathedral should consider the variety of Adult classes offered, both on Sunday mornings and during the week. Fellowship groups such as Foyers are also a good way to meet a wide range of members.

The Cathedral 20s30s group welcomes twenty- and thirty-somethings who are single, couples, married, and with or without children.

Spiritual Discussion:
Join the 20s30s each Sunday evening when we gather to discuss topics ranging from spirituality, to religion and culture, to the rituals of the Episcopal Church.  The discussions are led by members of the 20s30s, Cathedral clergy, or other special guests.  We meet in the sitting area to the left of the stairs in the Atrium beginning at 7:45 p.m., or when the 7 p.m. service in St. Mary's Chapel ends.

May 30: Canceled for Parish Kanuga Retreat/Memorial Day weekend

For questions, contact Amanda Stephenson.

20s30s Sunday Brunch
The 20s30s has a scheduled brunch on the last Sunday of each month.  Those who attend 11:15 may informally gather on other Sundays.
Upcoming dates for the 20s30s brunch are June 27.
On these Sundays, newcomers and regulars gather at the 20s30s table in the Atrium immediately following the 11:15 a.m. service.  A 20s30s host leads the conversation for those gathered to choose a nearby budget priced restaurant (Flying Biscuit, LaFonda, & Tree House have previously been the location).  For questions or if you would like to volunteer to host, contact Mark Howard.

20s30s Fellowship and Outreach Events
The 20s30s have a monthly fellowship event, often a happy hour or sometimes another fun outing like an Atlanta Thrasher’s Game, Martinis & Imax, Comedy Improv, or  Friday Night Jazz at the High. The 20s30s also gather regularly for outreach activities, Parish Life events, and our monthly Foyers potluck dinner. Our annual events include a spring beach retreat, summer whitewater rafting trip, fall mountain retreat, and a Christmas Party.  Information about some of these events can be found on this webpage. For questions, contact Dana King.

20s30s to the Movies
For the 20s30s May fellowship, we have American Graffitti - a young Harrison Ford, Ron Howard, cars, and the 1970s.  On Friday, May 28, join the 20s30s for this outdoor movie night at the High Museum. Meet at Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. for carpool to the High.
No Admission Fee for Movie--FREE!.  Food and Drinks (Beer, Wine, Full Bar) available for a cost.  Movie begins at 9 p.m. By arriving early we have plenty of time to claim a place on the lawn, be social, and see the vintage cars that local car clubs will have on display.

Email Mark Howard for more information

Prayers of the 20s30s
The 20s30s have created a prayer list, two in fact.  One public list, which is published each week in the 20s30s newsletter and read among the prayers of intercession & thanksgiving at our closing evening prayer for spiritual discussion.  The second list is a private one shared only among a small group of 20s30s members who have agreed to keep this list confidential, and will include these requests in their personal prayers.  Please email Dana King with your 20s30s prayer requests.  This list is specific to the 20s30s group, if you have a prayer request to include in the parish-wide list, please contact Dan Murphy in the Pastoral Care office, 404-365-1034.
